Meet Our Team: Maurice!

I often say that one of the most enriching experiences in life is to travel the world. It has profoundly changed my perspective on the things I value in myself and others. For me traveling has always been the countless stories shared by the individuals I’ve met along the way. 

Growing up in the Netherlands, in a multi-ethnic and cultural family, laid the foundation for my curiosity to explore the world as a true ‘cosmopolitan gypsy’. I was fortunate to have a wealth of countries within easy reach, and my life became a tapestry of cultures and experiences. Those who know me well today, describe me as a true citizen of the world always seeking connection and understanding. 

I never shy away from a good conversation and learning about religion, beliefs, culture and diverse perspectives that shape our everyday lives. What fascinates me most about traveling is the realization that, no matter how far apart the countries and the people that live in them and their cultures are, our shared humanity is far greater than our differences, so traveling the world has been a humbling experience to say the least.

I’ve made it my life’s goal to inspire others to explore all the beauty this planet has to offer, step out of their comfort zones, because as Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” So, I’ll end with this; dare to dream, even just a little, and live fully today.
